A canary is not a guarantee
The presence or absence of a statement can be difficult to interpret. Publication may be delayed, a key may be compromised or a jurisdiction may constrain what can be said. A canary should never be treated as conclusive proof that no legal process exists.
How a credible process would work
A real process needs a verified operator, an unambiguous reporting period, a regular publication schedule, signed statements and retained historical versions. It also needs advice on whether and how the statements can lawfully be maintained.
Current publication state
KoalaVPS has not issued an operational warrant canary. This page does not assert that no requests, orders or restrictions have been received by an operating company.
Prefer evidence you can inspect
Review data collection, retention, access controls, published reports and the provider’s legal identity. These practical details should carry more weight than an unsupported privacy slogan.
State a narrow proposition
A canary needs a precise statement and a defined reporting period. Its existence is not a blanket proof about every legal process, system or employee. Interpret the text actually signed rather than broad marketing language around it.
An absent update is an observation, not a conclusion
A missed update can have several causes, including ordinary operational failure. Publish the intended update schedule and verification method, and explain the limits of what an observer can infer. No signed KoalaVPS operational statement is published here.
