Choose the right branch

A Nordic outlook. A deliberate location.

Compare Stockholm, Helsinki, Oslo and Reykjavík as region choices. A location should match the people using your service and the requirements that govern its data.

Measure the route that matters

Geographic distance helps explain latency, but internet routing determines the actual path. Test from the networks your users rely on, during normal and busy periods. A single best-case ping is not a complete performance picture.

Keep placement explicit

Choose a city intentionally and record it in your deployment configuration. A future migration should identify where primary data, snapshots and backups will reside. A country label alone does not explain every party involved in operating a service.

Availability must be verified

Confirm availability for the selected region before placing an order or moving a workload. Check the facility information, capacity and network evidence relevant to your application.

Build resilience across failures

Two servers in the same city may share the same power, network or operator. Separate failure domains and test recovery. Cross-region replication is useful only when the application can handle its consistency, recovery and latency trade-offs.
