Understand the asset
Ethereum is the native asset of the Ethereum network. Fees are paid separately as gas, and the received amount can differ if a wallet subtracts fees from the transfer.
Before you send
Check whether the invoice accepts the Ethereum main network or a specifically named alternative. Do not send through a layer-two network unless that network is explicitly supported.
What privacy means here
Addresses and transfers are public. A fresh address does not erase a trail from a publicly linked funding source.
After payment
Payment should be confirmed only after the invoice has been reconciled under its confirmation policy. If a payment is delayed, provide the transaction identifier and invoice number through a verified support channel. Never provide a wallet recovery phrase or private key.
Ethereum is a network choice
The configured ETH route is Ethereum mainnet. A receiving address beginning with 0x can also be valid in other ecosystems, but using the same address on another chain does not make that transfer eligible. Keep enough native ETH for the sender’s network fee and verify that the displayed amount reaches the intended recipient.
Keep the payment record useful
Retain the order reference, quoted asset and network, expiry and transaction identifier. Contact support through a verified channel if reconciliation is needed. A support enquiry should never include a wallet seed, private key or signing credential.
A little more clarity.
Can I send ETH on a layer-two network?
Only Ethereum mainnet is configured for this ETH route. Do not select a layer-two network because the address format looks compatible.
