Moving from Vultr

A region move can also be a hardware move.

A migration planning guide for Vultr workloads. Keep the useful parts of your current stack and move only what the destination can support.

Inventory the dependencies

Check whether the current workload relies on ARM, GPU, dedicated CPU or bare-metal features rather than a standard virtual machine. Match the required capability, not only the advertised core and memory numbers. KoalaVPS does not claim unverified accelerator stock.

Payment and identity are separate

Verify current signup and payment requirements from the provider. Cryptocurrency acceptance does not by itself describe identity verification, account security or data retention. Compare those policies independently.

Rebuild before switching

Take a consistent export, encrypt the backup and create the destination from a supported image. Restore application data, configure secrets privately and test the service under a temporary hostname. Verify jobs, mail, uploads and external integrations as well as the homepage.

Cut over with a way back

Lower DNS TTL in advance where useful, plan a final data synchronisation and switch only after validation. Keep the previous service available for an agreed rollback window, then remove billable resources and credentials after independent backups are confirmed. No fixed one-hour migration promise is made.
